I agree with Jie Ming's point that government should be involved in marriage management provided that both parties are willing, no family problem such as abuse, not to give extensive care and the child must be considered. Government should intervene as long as it benefits the society as a whole and yet, not invade the privacy of individuals.



However, there are also limitations to some of these government intervention on marriage management. For example, the 5-days work week. It was implemented to allow working parents to spend their time with families during the weekends so as to maintain or improve on family relationship. However, some career-minded parents might not follow such policies and still insist on working during the weekends. Hence, in this case, government intervention will not work.
